Lucy Lacoste Gallery was founded in 1990 by Lucy Lacoste with a focus on ceramics. Artists shown include the 20th century masters Karen Karnes, Warren MacKenzie, and Don Reitz, as well as current leaders in the field Paul S. Briggs, Chris Gustin, Ani Kasten, Beth Lo, and Jeff Shapiro. Younger artists such as Hillary Kane and Isaac Scott are also represented. International artists include Anne Floche and Hans Vangsø (Denmark), Ann Van Hoey (Belgium), and Higashida Shigemasa, Isezaki Koichiro, and Suzuki Goro (Japan). 

The Gallery remains deeply committed to clay as an art medium focusing on showing contemporary, post WWII ceramic artists both established and emerging, presenting 8-10 exhibitions a year. In conjunction with its main ceramic shows, the Gallery presents 2D art such as paintings and prints to broaden the dialogue for its audience.
